Lhuillier Vows Unwavering Support as Team Philippines Qualify for Three World Cup Competitions- All in One Year!

The Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL), led by its President Jean Henri Lhuillier, is pulling out all the stops to make sure that Team Philippines is fully geared when they face their toughest battles yet in no less than three world cup competitions beginning this July.

After the under-15 girls secured a berth in the upcoming WBSC World Cup U15 Women Softball 2023  by virtue of their bronze medal victory over Team Korea, Team Philippines will next see action at the 18th WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup, to be represented by the RP Blu Girls, in Dublin from July 11 to 26.

But there’s no stopping the Lhuillier-backed squads, whose co-ed players are also slated to face off this year with the world’s best in the WBSC Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball World Cup after they clinched the silver in the Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball Asia Cup last May.

Lhuillier lauded the recent victories of Team Philippines: “Congratulations, Philippine Team! This marks the third national softball team under our wings that will make it to different competitions in the prestigious World Cup stage- all in one year! The outstanding showing of our athletes is a testament to their hard work and their tireless dedication to the sport”.

Lhuillier takes distinct pride in the accomplishments made by Team Philippines noting how ASAPHIL braved all odds to reach this stage of success. “I believe in my heart that this is the first time that the country will be fielding a ball sport squad three times in the World Cup -in one single year! With this, we hope many more Filipino people will support our baseball program and give the sport the national attention it deserves where both physical and mental toughness come into play. To our players and coaches, we thank you and vow to stand by you every step of the way to make sure all your efforts bear fruition”.
