Philippine Co-ed Slow Pitch Team Advances to Gold Medal Match, Secures World Cup.

The Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Philippine team, triumphed against host country Thailand, beating them with an impressive  31-11 score. Their win over Thailand secures them a sure spot in the World Cup to be held later this year.

The Philippine team faces off against their elimination’s tormentor, Chinese Taipei next, with the victor taking home the gold medal. “I am so proud of our PH team and vow to support them all the way to the world cup!” exclaimed Jean Henri Lhuillier, President of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL).

Coach Ana Maria Santiago, meantime, said they will do everything they can to win in their next game so “we can prove our mettle to the rest of the world”.The top three teams in the final standings will secure a slot for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Co-ed Slow Pitch World Cup that will take place this year.
