Converge Legazpi Business Center Opening 28 June 2022

Mr. Dennis Anthony Uy Speech Delivered by Ms. Jay-Anne Encarnado, VP for Corporate Communications and Public Relations

As much as we wanted to be with you all, we had to defer this visit due to news that there could possibly be an incoming typhoon.

We hoped to be there to personally express our gratitude for the continued support that the local government and the community in Bicol has shown Converge. The launch of this new business center and regional headquarters in Legazpi City would not have been possible without the support of all of you.

We are glad to report that we are going to cover more than half, or around 64% of all addressable households in Bicol by year-end. This is a testament of our commitment to keep serving the unserved and underserved areas in the country.

This also means we have much more room for growth in this region. We will continue to harden our network infrastructure here where we have three cable landing stations. And we will continue to strengthen our customer relations through activities such as this – we know how important sustaining our customer relationships is, even with limitations on physical contact, that’s why we continue to reach out to our customers through business centers.

We hope with this bigger presence in Legazpi, we may be able to double down on “Going Deep” in Bicol, and really extend our network to areas not yet reached by high-speed, fiber broadband. This has been and continues to be our goal as we believe that digital access is no longer a privilege of the few but a right of everyone, regardless of socio-economic status.

We will continue to pursue our mission of bringing world-class connectivity to Filipinos and giving them the broadband connection they deserve. We look forward to your continued support on this mission.

Thank you everyone, and maray na aga sa indo gabos!
