Heroic fishermen and farmers take the spotlight in “Kapitan Kress: Bayaning Mangingisda at Bayaning Magsasaka Search 2022”
JGO Ventures Corporation, exclusive partner and distributor of Kress Elektrowerkzeuge in the Philippines, recently launched the “Bayaning Mangingisda at Bayaning Magsasaka Search 2022.” Currently on its second year, the said competition now also pays tribute to remarkable farmers. The opening of the nomination process was announced last September 1 on the Kapitan Kress and Kress Philippines Facebook pages.
The search will showcase stories of inspiration, hope and success of notable fishermen and farmers from all over the country. It will also pay tribute to their significant contributions and impact on their respective communities. By the end of the search in May 2022, two Grand Winners will be named — one for each category.
Grand Winners from both categories will receive exciting prizes. The Bayaning Mangingisda Grand Winner will take home a cash prize worth Php 100,000 (tax-free), one Kress Nautica 17.5 Gasoline Engine worth Php 30,000, one Fishing Boat worth Php 50,000, a trophy & certificate, and one-year Kress ambassadorship.
Meanwhile the Bayaning Magsasaka Grand Winner will receive Php 100,000 (cash prize), a Kress KE213 13hp Gasoline Engine worth Php 23,500, agricultural equipment worth Php 50,000, trophy & certificate, and one-year Kress ambassadorship. Runners-up and the nominator of the Grand Winners will also bring home prizes.
The competition is open to all registered Filipino fishermen and farmers planting rice, corn, coconuts and high value crops in the Philippines, 21 years old and above, male or female. All applicants must be nominated by company, group, NGO or LGU. Aspirants may submit their entries in any authorized Kress dealer in the country.
Last year, Dante Noces, leader of a group of fishermen in Balaoan, La Union, bagged the title as the first Bayaning Mangingisda Grand Winner.
