Boomi Appoints HonChew Seetoh As General Manager For Asia

Boomi™, a leading provider of cloud-based integration platform as a service (iPaaS), today announced that HonChew Seetoh has been appointed General Manager for Asia, tasked with driving the company’s continued expansion as accelerated technology investment drives heightened demand for integration, data management and workflow solutions.

Mr. Seetoh joins Boomi with more than three decades’ experience as a business and technology leader, with roles spanning Chief Information Officer (CIO), consulting, multinational account management, profit and loss (P&L) management, and B2B sales at companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cisco Systems, Abacus International, Cap Gemini, Deloitte, Fiserv, and Accenture.

Seetoh reports to Ajit Melarkode, Vice-President Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) at Boomi.

“Since Boomi launched in Asia, our expansion has been underscored by the ability to provide a very simple way for companies to connect highly-complex technology environments in the cloud, deploy new applications, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices quickly,” said Mr. Melarkode. “As a result, they are able to extract and share data securely to enhance business intelligence across their entire operations and create integrated experiences for all stakeholders.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Seetoh said, “Organisations are modernising through digitalisation and the app economy. Boomi offers a unified, low-code platform with multiple key product offerings that remove complexity, reduce cost, and accelerate the rate at which those companies can see a return on their investments, and benefit automation and data intelligence.”

“Companies across Asia prefer pragmatic and flexible technology adoption, rather than being forced into a large, up front capital expenditure. Unlike traditional ‘one-size-fits-all’ integration platforms, Boomi caters to the diverse business requirements and technology adoption preferences of companies in this region, which is especially critical to support modernisation amid continued economic uncertainties,” added Mr. Seetoh.

“HonChew is a veteran of the technology industry with extensive vendor and client-side experience. He has held leadership positions in ASEAN and internationally companies including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cisco Systems, Cap Gemini and Deloitte, and led relationships with multi-billion-dollar financial services conglomerates, leading airlines, and some of the continent’s largest telecommunications providers. This will prove invaluable in building on the momentum we have extended this year,” added Mr. Melarkode.
