Taga-alog 2019 Brings Back Lakbay Baybay Adventure Tour in Mandaluyong City and Marikina City
Taga-alog 2019 is bringing back the Lakbay Baybay Adventure Tour in Marikina City on October 12 and 13, 2019 and is launching its new leg in Mandaluyong City on October 18-20, 2019. The Lakbay Baybay is a total trip, literally and figuratively. It takes participants on a journey of rediscovery through the beautiful cities united by the historic Ilog Pasig. Designed to highlight heritage sites, local heroes, delicacies, and stories of the people, the Lakbay Baybay Adventure Tour aims to educate participants of their cultural identity in a fun and interactive manner.
Let the Adventure Begin!
The Lakbay Baybay has no tour guides, no conventional maps, and no limits to discovery. The Lakbay Baybay adventure tour will reveal the hidden secrets of the city as participants complete a quest with specific tasks and objectives. They must be prepared to travel through and along the river, interact with locals of the city, visit museums and historical sites, and find the clues that will lead them to their victory.
In Mandaluyong City, the whole town is in a ruckus due to missing laundry or sinampay. The participants will be tasked to look for clues around town in the hopes of finding the culprit behind the curious incident, a certain Lavandero named Mang Jimmy. They must discover who are the Lavanderos of the city and what stories hide behind the corners of the Tiger City Mandaluyong.
In Marikina City, two teams must create signature Marikeño shoes, parts of which are scattered throughout the city. The teams are tasked to go head to head in winning the favor of Mr. Santos, an investor, by presenting Marikina’s state-of-the-art footwear. Only one team can succeed, only one team can help the people of Marikina.
