GOMO launches ‘Mo Creds donation drive for Abra quake victims

GOMO, the country’s first fully digital telco and lifestyle app, is encouraging its unstoppable community to help victims of the deadly quake that struck Luzon on Wednesday.

Staying true to its “untelco” brand, GOMO’s fund-raising activity will run from July 31 to August 31, 2022 through ‘Mo Creds, a game-changing feature where users may convert their No Expiry Data for lifestyle vouchers or to support a worthy cause.

Under the quake relief program, customers can swap their No Expiry Data for donations via ‘Mo Creds: 1GB for a P10 donation, 5GB for P50, and 10GB for P100.

To donate, visit the ‘Mo Creds screen on the GOMO app and select the Call & Text tab, choose the preferred amount, and confirm the transaction.

GOMO will pool all donations at the end of the campaign and split them equally among its partner organizations: the Ayala Foundation, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, and Rise Against Hunger Philippines.

“We’re doing this campaign to raise awareness and support the desire of our GOMO Fam to help. It is GOMO’s advocacy to go beyond providing telecom services, so we provide a platform for Filipinos to remain unstoppable— whether it’s through chasing their passions or by helping those in need,” said Don Laudencia, GOMO Marketing Director.

This is not the first time GOMO has done a consumer brand donation initiative. In December 2021, GOMO launched a similar donation drive for victims of Typhoon Odette, followed by support for medical frontliners early this year.

Launched in October 2020 at the height of the pandemic, GOMO has attracted over two million subscribers through fresh and unique offers, including High Speed No Expiry data.

GOMO subscribers get all their connectivity needs through the lifestyle app and enjoy data beyond text and calls without monthly bills and the hassle of buying load.
