ABSI acquires HCX Technology Partners from Ayala Corp.

Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI) is proving to be a key player in the shared services industry just a year into its operations, with the recent acquisition of HCX Technology Partners Inc. from Ayala Corporation.  The move is expected to further expand and grow the company’s extensive portfolio of end-to-end solutions for human resources, customer experience, finance, IT and corporate services.

ABSI is a subsidiary of the Asticom Group of Companies (AGC),  which is part of the Globe Group.  It offers managed services such as Business Service Outsourcing (BSO) and Information Technology (IT), and digital platform services like Customer Experience (CE) and Employee Engagement (EE) to help improve client business performance and internal culture of transformation.

On the other hand, HCX has provided human resources, customer relationship management, and digital solutions to its clients since 2016. With their complementary capabilities in the human resources and business solutions industries, ABSI and HCX are well-matched to deliver high-impact results to their growing clientele in the country.

“The integration of HCX’s HR and digital solutions technology with ABSI’s managed services will create a unique and better value proposition to our clients. We believe that a bigger vision and rapid growth can be achieved through the combined expertise and portfolios of both companies,” said Melissa Tecson, ABSI General Manager.

In its first year, ABSI now serves more than 20 clients from several industries including telecommunications, IT, banking, finance, logistics, and e-commerce.  It also manages close to 1,500 people.

“With the acquisition of HCX, we envision an accelerated execution of our long-term strategy in delivering top-level results for our clients. We have also gained a fitting opportunity to expedite ABSI’s objective, which is to become the number one shared services center in the Philippines and in Asia by 2029,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom Group of Companies.

By 2029, ABSI aims to penetrate a bigger market outside the Philippines. For Asticom, the goal affirms its purpose to provide opportunities and improve Filipino lives through its diverse business portfolio.

Asticom is one with the Globe Group in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the UN Global Compact principles and contributes to 10  UN SDGs.
