Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. commends hospital healthcare frontliners

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc (BPCI), prime mover of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the Philippines, has commended medical and healthcare frontliners for their passion and perseverance in attending to hundreds of patients afflicted with the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

It has been noted that many of those afflicted with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines are on their way to full recovery because of the commitment and enthusiasm of our hospital doctors, nurses and other healthcare frontliners.

Healthcare workers from Mandaluyong City Medical Center receive boxes of Pizza Hut Pizza donated by Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) for medical frontliners who are serving our people amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ever since the first week of April, 2020,  and in partnership with Pizza Hut Philippines, BPCI has been donating pan pizzas and food packs to 10 Metro Manila hospitals to recognize  and pay tribute to the courage of our  doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers.

The hospital recipients include Lung Center of the Philippines, Quirino Memorial Medical Hospital, V. Luna General Hospital, Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, QC Gen Hospital, East Avenue Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and Mandaluyong City Medical Center. Other hospitals will also be served in the coming days.

“We commend our healthcare givers for their courage and sacrifice, over and beyond expectations. This is our small way of showing our appreciation for everything they are doing for our country and our people,” said BPCI chairwoman Stella Marquez Araneta.

Meanwhile, Bb. Pilipinas 2020 candidates and reigning Bb. Pilipinas Queens came together to hold a digital fund-raising campaign in support of the #TogetherWeHeal donation drive, organized by Araneta City, in coordination with the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF) and BPCI.

The #TogetherWeHeal Donation Drive distributes food packs to poor families in Metro Manila who have been displaced by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) directive to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.

“BPCI is delighted to support the #TogetherWeHeal Donation Drive. We know that by working as a community, we can better help each other during this difficult time”, said Ms. Stella Marquez Araneta.
